What is the story of Orion? Why are dinosaurs in it?
To get a great idea of the story, use the following image that displays a diagram to summarize the story:

When was Orion first thought of (conceived) and when did it originally start Production?
Orion was originally thought of and created over 6 years ago. Being developed under the game IP of ‘Incoming’. The idea again then came up when I was in a Counter-Strike Beta 3 game where I came across a Weapons Modeler. We started talking, I brought up Incoming. Boom. The game started on August 25th, 2000. The team started as two people but later grew to over 30 people.

What will I need to play Orion?
You will need to have access to the Source SDK or any game that uses the Source engine created by VALVe Software.

So what is Orion all about? What can I do in it?
This game is about being "fun" while giving you a tactical-type feel. The mod features plenty of weapons, both ballistic and plasma and cell-based. This is for both story purposes and to also garner towards players that prefer certain types of weapons. It is making everyone happy while staying true to the story. The game also features both Drivable Vehicles (with usable turrets) and Flyable Vehicles (just as the first Incoming did). This will add a new dimension to the online gaming of Source. On top of that, some maps feature the Animal AI, whether it being a T-rex walking around or a group of Raptors (NPC controlled). This game is all about constant action as well as tight and focused game (and gun) play.

What type of gameplay is planned?
There is one game mode that the Orion focuses on. It is called ‘ViTAL’. It is heavily team-oriented and class-based. There are five classes per team. They consist of: ASSAULT / SUPPORT / SNIPER / TECH / DEMO.
The great thing about it is the load outs for each class are not ‘locked’, per say. Each class has an available set of equipment that they can choose their final Loadout from. On top of this is an upgrade system allowing you to further improve your abilities and gain access to new equipment and technology, both based on your class and other upgrades that are available wide-spread between all classes.
It is an interactive, objective-based game-mode. Requiring to disable computer consoles that are linked to active shields protecting both your teams and the opposing teams bases. Disabling the shields to gain access to their base, as well as destroying power generators to wipe your opponents from gaining resources.

When will Incoming Source be released?
There is no set date. This game is ambitious with very nice features. That requires a nice amount of development time. Please do not email us asking when Incoming Source will be released. There is no set date, but we can say that it is not this year.

Does Orion feature a Single player campaign?
No, not out of the box. Our focus is currently on the multiplayer aspect. With a game this large, if we were to focus on both, you wouldn't get the quality we are putting out right now. Single player is definitely planned for a later release. After multiplayer is complete. The story is already being written for the Single player addition.

Can I be a beta tester?
Beta testing is currently in a ‘locked’ position. We have a full staff of beta testers. We are, however, currently looking for dedicated servers. If you are able to host these, please contact us using one of our available contact methods.

What will the player limit be on the multiplayer maps?
Our target goal is 24 players. This might increase or decrease over the course of development depending on play testing and other game variables.
